Ram ProMaster Conversion
The widest cargo van in its class — professionally converted by OZK Customs with the same quality, products, and precision we bring to every platform. Front-wheel drive. Lower floor height. Built for work and adventure.
Why the Ram ProMaster?
The Ram ProMaster is the widest full-size cargo van sold in the United States — and that width translates directly into livable interior space. At over 75 inches between the wheel wells, the ProMaster offers a flat, uninterrupted cargo floor that's wider than both the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter. That extra width means a bed can fit sideways in many configurations, cabinetry layouts have more room to breathe, and the overall interior feels more like a small room than a narrow corridor. For fleet operators, it means more cargo capacity per linear foot. For adventure builds, it means comfort without compromise.
The ProMaster's front-wheel drive architecture gives it structural advantages that rear-wheel and all-wheel drive vans simply don't have. Without a driveshaft running under the floor, the ProMaster sits lower to the ground — making it easier to load, easier to enter and exit, and easier to build out with a truly flat floor. The lower center of gravity improves handling under load. Front-wheel drive also delivers better traction in rain and snow when the van is loaded, because the engine weight sits directly over the driven wheels. For anyone who doesn't need off-road trail clearance, these are real, daily advantages.
Add the tightest turning radius in its class — under 36 feet — and the ProMaster becomes the most maneuverable full-size van you can buy. It parks in spaces that Transits and Sprinters can't touch. It navigates narrow campground loops and urban streets with a confidence that surprises first-time ProMaster drivers. For cargo and fleet operators, that maneuverability saves time on every delivery. For adventure builders on a budget, the ProMaster offers the most affordable entry point into a professionally converted van without sacrificing interior space or build quality. OZK converts ProMasters with the same products, same processes, and same standards we apply to every platform in our shop.
Interior Build Options
Every ProMaster interior build starts with the same foundation we use across all platforms — because the fundamentals of a well-built van don't change with the badge on the grille. Havelock Wool insulation goes in first: a natural, breathable insulator that manages moisture instead of trapping it behind your walls. Unlike spray foam or fiberglass batts, wool actively absorbs and releases humidity, preventing the condensation that rots van interiors from the inside out. The ProMaster's wide body gives us more surface area to insulate, which translates to better overall thermal performance.
Lizard Skin sound deadening is applied directly to the metal shell before insulation goes in — eliminating road noise and vibration that turn unfinished cargo vans into exhausting places to spend time. Over the insulation layer, Adventure Wagon or Lost HiWay wall panel systems and matching ceiling panels transform the raw cargo area into a finished living space. These aren't generic sheets of plywood — they're engineered panel systems with integrated L-track, wiring channels, and attachment points, precision-fit to the ProMaster's factory mounting points. The SmartFloor system finishes the foundation: lightweight, durable flooring designed for the weight, moisture, and abuse that van floors actually face.
The ProMaster's wide, flat floor is one of its biggest advantages during the interior build phase. There are no wheel wells intruding into the living space at bed height, which means the full width of the van is usable for sleeping, storage, and cabinetry. Every material in the interior build is selected for van-specific performance — low weight, high durability, moisture resistance, and engineered fit to the ProMaster platform.

Power & Electrical
The electrical system is the nervous system of any van conversion, and the ProMaster gets the same power architecture we install across all platforms. The RedArc Alpha battery management system sits at the center — an intelligent unit that simultaneously manages charging from solar panels, the van's alternator, and shore power. The Alpha doesn't just charge batteries; it orchestrates the entire power flow, prioritizing sources based on availability and protecting your battery bank from overcharge, over-discharge, and thermal damage.
Energy storage comes from Epoch lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries — the safest, most durable lithium chemistry available. Epoch batteries deliver consistent power output across their entire discharge range, tolerate thousands of charge cycles, and weigh a fraction of equivalent lead-acid banks. The battery bank is sized during your consultation based on your actual usage patterns — how many devices you run, whether you work remotely, and how many days of autonomy you need between charging sources.
Renogy solar panels mounted on the roof provide passive charging whenever the sun is out. The ProMaster's wide roof gives us excellent panel placement options — more usable surface area for solar than narrower platforms. Combined with alternator charging while you drive and ProMaster-specific shore power integration for campground hookups, the system ensures you always have power when you need it. The entire electrical system is designed, wired, and tested by our team as a single integrated circuit — no spliced-in aftermarket components, no mismatched wire gauges, no fuse panels that weren't specced for the load they carry.

Climate Control
The ProMaster's wide interior volume makes climate control even more important — more cubic feet of air to heat, cool, and ventilate. For heating, we install the Espar Airtronic S3 B2L Gasoline Kit — the gasoline-specific variant engineered for the ProMaster's powertrain. Unlike the diesel Espar units we install on Transits and Sprinters, the B2L Gasoline Kit taps directly into the ProMaster's gasoline fuel system, so you never need to carry a separate fuel source. The Espar is whisper-quiet, draws minimal electrical power, and can keep the interior at a comfortable temperature in sub-zero conditions.
Ventilation comes from the MaxxAir fan — the industry standard for van builds. The MaxxAir provides powered intake and exhaust ventilation, creating airflow that prevents stuffiness, manages cooking odors, and draws cool air through the van during mild weather. Its built-in rain cover means you can run it in a downpour without water intrusion. For hot-climate builds, we offer AC options including the GREE EcoCool and Velit 2000R — compact, efficient air conditioning units designed for the power constraints and space limitations of a van electrical system.
The climate system is planned alongside the electrical system from day one. The Espar's fuel line routing, the MaxxAir's roof cutout placement, and the AC unit's power draw are all factored into the build plan before a single cut is made. The ProMaster's gasoline fuel system requires specific routing and safety considerations that differ from diesel platforms — our team handles those details because we've done it before and know exactly where every line, vent, and connection point belongs on this platform.

Bed & Living Systems
The ProMaster's class-leading interior width changes the conversation around bed systems. The Flatline Van Co Bed Platform — engineered specifically for the ProMaster — takes full advantage of that width, delivering a sleeping surface that doesn't feel like a compromise. The Flatline platform is designed to interface with the ProMaster's unique floor and wall geometry, providing a stable, rattle-free foundation that converts between sleeping and living configurations without tools or frustration. It's the bed system we recommend for ProMaster builds because it was designed for this van — not adapted from another platform.
Beyond the bed, the living space comes together with the same proven products we install across all platforms. The Trail Kitchens galley system provides a compact, functional cooking setup with integrated sink, storage, and prep space — designed for the realities of cooking in a moving vehicle. Cabinetry from RB Components or Van Wife offers purpose-built storage with full-extension drawer slides rated for off-road vibration, structural mounting to the van body, and finishes that withstand years of daily use.
For builds that need a bathroom, we install Trailblazer Showers portable shower systems and Nature's Head composting toilets — proven solutions that handle hygiene without the complexity and maintenance of a traditional plumbing system. Lagun table mounts provide a swiveling workspace or dining surface that stows flat when not in use. Scopema or RIB seating converts from driver-facing seats to living space seating, maximizing the utility of every square foot in the ProMaster's wide interior.

Exterior Upgrades
The ProMaster's exterior gets the same attention as the interior. The Aluminess Tire Carrier mounts your full-size spare to the rear door, freeing up interior cargo space and putting your spare where you can access it without unpacking the van. The Aluminess Box Carrier adds lockable, weather-resistant exterior storage for recovery gear, tools, and equipment that doesn't belong inside your living space. Both components are engineered specifically for the ProMaster's rear door geometry and mounted to structural points — not pop-riveted to sheet metal.
Owl Vans storage solutions expand your organized exterior carrying capacity for leveling blocks, hoses, and quick-access gear. A Fiamma awning provides instant shade and rain protection at any campsite — deploying in seconds to create a covered outdoor living area that effectively doubles your usable space when parked. For window ventilation without the bugs, the BugWall ProMaster-specific insect screen system keeps air flowing while keeping everything else out.
CR Laurence windows can be added to the ProMaster's cargo area for natural light and cross-ventilation — professionally cut and sealed to maintain the van's structural integrity and weather resistance. VanEssential Stealth window covers, engineered for the ProMaster's specific window dimensions, provide blackout privacy that also functions as insulation. Every exterior component is rated for the loads and conditions of real-world use and installed by a team that knows the ProMaster platform inside and out.

Why Professional Installation Matters
Platform Expertise
The ProMaster has a unique body structure, front-wheel drive architecture, and gasoline fuel system that require platform-specific knowledge. OZK's team has installed hundreds of products on ProMasters and knows exactly how every system routes, mounts, and integrates on this platform.
Integrated Systems
Electrical, climate, and structure are planned together from day one. Your heater's gasoline fuel line doesn't conflict with your battery bank. Your solar panel placement accounts for your fan cutout. Your cabinetry is designed around your electrical distribution. One team, one plan, zero conflicts.
Warranty Protection
Every component in your ProMaster build carries its manufacturer warranty — and professional installation ensures those warranties stay valid. Improper installation is the number one reason warranty claims get denied. Our documentation protects your investment.
Single-Point Accountability
When you piece together a build across multiple shops, nobody owns the result. With OZK, one team builds the entire vehicle, one team stands behind the entire vehicle, and one phone call gets you support for anything — from a solar panel question to a heater concern.
