Ford Transit Conversion
The premier Ford Transit conversion shop in the Midwest. From Quigley AWD systems to complete interior builds, OZK installs every product on our fixed pricing menu with professional precision and factory-level quality.
Why the Ford Transit
The Ford Transit is the best-selling commercial van in America — and for good reason. Available in low, medium, and high roof configurations, three wheelbase lengths, and multiple engine options, the Transit offers more configuration flexibility than any other platform on the market. For van conversion work, that flexibility translates directly into builds that fit the owner's life instead of forcing compromises. A weekend adventure rig looks different from a full-time live-in vehicle, and the Transit platform accommodates both without structural modifications.
The Transit is also OZK's platform of choice for the Quigley Trail — our flagship complete conversion package. The Q-Lift AWD system is engineered exclusively for the Transit, making it the only platform that supports factory-approved all-wheel drive conversion with warranty protection. Combined with Ford's extensive dealer network for service and parts availability anywhere in the country, the Transit gives you a foundation that's as practical on a 10-year ownership timeline as it is on day one.
OZK has completed hundreds of Transit conversions — from single-product installs to ground-up Quigley Trail builds. Every product on our fixed pricing menu has been validated on this platform. Every installation template, every wiring harness route, every mounting point has been documented across real builds. When your Transit comes into our shop, we're not figuring it out for the first time. We're executing a process we've refined across hundreds of vehicles.
Quigley Q-Lift AWD System
This is what separates the Ford Transit from every other van on the market. The Quigley Q-Lift is a factory-approved all-wheel drive and suspension lift system engineered specifically for the 2020–2025 Ford Transit. It's not an aftermarket hack bolted onto a van it wasn't designed for — it's a precision system developed in partnership with Ford that maintains your factory powertrain warranty when installed by an authorized dealer. OZK Customs is one of only seven authorized Quigley Q-Lift installers in the entire United States.
The Q-Lift system is available with or without the factory sway bar, depending on your intended use. The standard configuration maintains the sway bar for owners who split time between highway driving and moderate off-road use — fire roads, forest service routes, and improved gravel. The sway bar delete configuration is for dedicated adventure builds that prioritize suspension articulation and off-road capability. During your consultation, we'll help you determine which configuration matches your driving style and destinations.
Paired with the Q-Lift, we install the Bilstein B6 Strut and Shock Kit — high-performance monotube dampers engineered for lifted Transits. The Bilstein B6 uses a pressurized monotube design that dissipates heat faster than twin-tube shocks, delivering consistent, fade-free damping under load. Whether you're running a fully built-out camper van on the highway or navigating washboard gravel at a remote trailhead, the B6 keeps the ride planted and controlled. The combination of Q-Lift geometry and Bilstein damping is the gold standard for Transit suspension — and it's the foundation of every Quigley Trail build that rolls out of our shop.
Quigley Q-Lift AWD w/ Sway Bar
Factory-approved AWD and lift for 2020–2025 Transit. Maintains sway bar for balanced on-road and off-road performance. Full Ford powertrain warranty preserved.
Quigley Q-Lift AWD — Sway Bar Delete
Maximum suspension articulation for dedicated adventure builds. Same factory-approved system with sway bar removed for increased off-road capability.
Bilstein B6 Strut & Shock Kit
High-pressure monotube dampers designed for lifted Transits. Superior heat dissipation, consistent damping, and controlled ride quality under full load.
Interior Build Options
Every Transit interior starts with the layers that matter most — insulation and sound deadening. We offer three insulation options to match your climate, budget, and build goals: Havelock Wool for natural moisture management and breathability, Lizard Skin Ceramic for spray-applied thermal protection in extreme heat and cold, and 3M Thinsulate for lightweight, proven thermal performance in a flexible blanket format. For sound deadening, Vibration Damping Sheets applied directly to the metal shell eliminate road noise and resonance, while Lizard Skin Sound Control provides spray-on acoustic damping for full-coverage applications. The Transit's large, flat panels amplify road noise more than smaller vans — proper sound treatment transforms the driving experience.
Wall and ceiling finishes define the look and functionality of your build. OZK Birch Panels deliver a clean, natural wood aesthetic with lightweight durability. Adventure Wagon's Full Interior system provides modular panels with integrated L-Track for infinite accessory mounting flexibility. Lost HiWay Pro Kit and Legend Liners offer complete panel solutions designed specifically for Transit dimensions, while Vantopia ACM Panels provide a modern, composite finish that's easy to clean and virtually indestructible. Every panel system we install interfaces with the Transit's factory mounting points — no drilling into structural members, no improvised brackets.
Flooring is the foundation of your living space and takes more abuse than any other surface in the van. The OZK Marine SubFloor creates a level, insulated base that supports any finish material. From there, you choose your surface: Loncoin commercial-grade vinyl for proven durability, 2Tec2 woven vinyl for a premium textile feel, SmartFloor System for lightweight modular installation, Legend Fleet Floor for utility-grade toughness, MobiFrame Floor for integrated mounting options, or Pareto ALFO Floor for high-end aluminum-composite performance. Each option is selected for van-specific demands — moisture resistance, weight, durability under daily foot traffic, and stability in a vehicle that moves.
Havelock Wool Insulation
Natural wool insulation that actively manages moisture — absorbing and releasing humidity to prevent condensation and mold inside wall cavities.
Lizard Skin Ceramic
Spray-applied ceramic insulation for extreme thermal performance. Conforms to every surface, fills every gap, and adds no structural weight.
3M Thinsulate
Lightweight blanket insulation with proven thermal and acoustic performance. Flexible format fits complex Transit body contours without compression.
Adventure Wagon Full Interior
Modular wall and ceiling panel system with integrated L-Track. Infinite accessory mounting flexibility with precision Transit fitment.

Power & Electrical
The electrical system is the nervous system of your Transit conversion, and OZK offers two proven architectures depending on your power needs. The RedArc system pairs the BCDC Alpha 50R intelligent charger with the TVMS Rogue monitoring system and a Renogy 3000W pure sine wave inverter — a professional-grade setup that manages solar, alternator, and shore power charging simultaneously while giving you real-time visibility into every amp flowing through the system. The Alpha doesn't just charge batteries — it orchestrates your entire power flow, prioritizing sources automatically and protecting your battery bank from overcharge, over-discharge, and thermal damage.
For owners who want a plug-and-play power solution, the EcoFlow Delta Pro paired with the 800W DC-DC Alternator Charger delivers massive portable power with alternator charging while you drive. Energy storage for both architectures comes from Epoch lithium iron phosphate batteries — available in 300Ah and 460Ah configurations. LiFePO4 is the safest, most durable lithium chemistry on the market: consistent power output, thousands of charge cycles, and a fraction of the weight of lead-acid. Your battery bank is sized during consultation based on your actual usage — devices, remote work needs, climate systems, and days of autonomy between charges.
Solar charging comes from Renogy 200W panels mounted on the roof rack, with a Solar Roof Port Entry Gland providing a weatherproof cable pass-through. Transit- specific shore power installation gives you the option to plug in at campgrounds and RV parks when available. For connectivity, Starlink Mini satellite internet mounts in either magnetic or fixed configuration, and the WeBoost Drive Reach RV II amplifies cellular signal in marginal coverage areas. Interior lighting runs on the 8-Light Package for standard builds or the 10-Light Package Extended for full-length Transit configurations — warm, dimmable LED lighting designed for the van's interior dimensions.

Climate Control
Climate control determines whether you actually use your Transit year-round or park it when temperatures get uncomfortable. OZK offers three cooling solutions: the GREE EcoCool 15K BTU for 120V systems with serious cooling capacity, the Velit 2000R for efficient 12V operation directly off your house battery, and the OutEquip Pro 12V with integrated heat pump for owners who want heating and cooling from a single unit. Each option is selected based on your electrical architecture, travel climate, and power budget — not every van needs the same cooling solution, and we'll configure yours during consultation.
Ventilation starts with the MaxxAir Fan Deluxe — the industry standard for van builds. Powered intake and exhaust modes create airflow that prevents stuffiness, manages cooking odors, and draws cool air through the van during mild weather. The built-in rain cover lets you run it in a downpour without water intrusion. The MaxxAir is non-negotiable in a van build — even with full AC, proper ventilation prevents moisture buildup, controls condensation, and keeps the air inside fresh and breathable.
For heating, the Ford Transit runs on gasoline — so we install gasoline-specific heater kits. The Espar Airtronic S3 B2L Gasoline Kit taps directly into your Transit's fuel tank, providing whisper-quiet, thermostat-controlled heat that draws minimal electrical power and runs as long as you have gas in the tank. The Webasto Air Top 2000 STC Gasoline Kit is an equally proven alternative with its own loyal following in the van community. Both units are designed for continuous overnight operation in sub-zero temperatures — this is the same heating technology used in European commercial vehicles and marine applications, adapted for the van living space.

Bed & Living Systems
The bed system defines how you live in your Transit — and every owner has different priorities. The Adventure Wagon MOAB Bed converts from lounge to full sleeping surface in seconds. The RB Sofa Sleeper comes in 58-inch and 76-inch widths, offering a true sofa-to-bed conversion without compromise in either mode. Flatline Van Co builds Transit-specific bed platforms that maximize under-bed storage while keeping the sleeping surface at the right height. Van Wife's Modular Bed system gives you reconfigurable flexibility. The SERG Dinette/Bed creates a dining and work area that converts to a sleeping platform. And for owners who want a permanent, no-compromise sleeping surface, the OZK Custom Fixed Bed delivers exactly that.
Shower and bathroom solutions range from simple to fully enclosed. The Tetravan Shower Port provides a quick outdoor shower connection. The Tetravan In-Floor Shower Pan creates a dedicated indoor shower area that drains and stores flat when not in use. Van Wife Enclosed Showers in 33-inch and 36-inch configurations offer a permanent, private shower space. The OZK Shower Package integrates the shower system with your build's plumbing and electrical for a seamless installation. For toilet solutions, the Modiwell Dry Flush and Laveo Dry Flush provide waste sealing with no water or chemicals required, while the Trelino Evo S Composting toilet offers a natural decomposition system for extended off-grid living.
The galley is where your Transit becomes a home. RB Components Galley systems come in 24, 42, 48, and 56-inch configurations — from compact cooking stations to full kitchen setups with sink, storage, and counter space. FVC Galley options in 24 and 41-inch widths offer a precision-fit alternative. The SERG Flip Down Van Kitchen creates a functional cooking area that folds away when not in use. Cabinetry from Van Wife (Angled and Ekko styles), FVC Upper Cabinets built for Transit dimensions, and VanEssential Upper Storage systems keep your gear organized and accessible. Tables from Lagun, Canyon, and Far Out Ride mount on adjustable legs and brackets for dining, work, and everything in between. Driver and Passenger Swivels rotate the front seats to face the living area, and Smartseat EZ XL and Comfort upgrades make those seats actually comfortable for extended sitting.

These bumpers replace the factory plastic unit with aluminum protection that can absorb trail impacts, mount a winch for recovery situations, and accept auxiliary lighting. The FVC Ladder provides safe, permanent roof access engineered for Transit mounting points, and FVC Roof Racks in 148 and 148 Extended configurations give you a structural platform for solar panels, cargo, and adventure gear.
Rear storage and carrying capacity come from the Aluminess Tire Carrier and Box Carrier — Transit-specific rear door mounts that keep a full-size spare and gear boxes accessible without eating into interior space. Owl Van Expedition Boxes and Aluminess Deluxe Boxes mount on bumpers and racks for organized exterior storage of recovery equipment, tools, and gear that doesn't belong in the living area. The Fiamma F45s 260 Awning deploys in seconds to create a covered outdoor living area at any campsite — effectively doubling your usable space when parked.
Window upgrades open up the Transit's cargo area with factory-quality glass. 2nd Row Sliding Windows and Rear Cargo Door Windows bring natural light and ventilation into the living space. Sliding Bunk and Awning Bunk windows add additional ventilation options in sleeping areas. Your Ford Transit Build Starts Here
Every Transit conversion begins with a consultation. Tell us how you use your van, where you want to go, and what matters most — and we'll configure a build package from our fixed pricing menu that fits your life.
Why Professional Installation Matters
Factory Authorization
OZK is one of seven authorized Quigley Q-Lift installers in the United States. This isn't a sticker on our wall — it's a technical certification that means your lift is installed to factory specifications, your Ford warranty is maintained, and your suspension was set up by a team that Quigley trusts with their product.
Integrated Systems
Electrical, plumbing, climate, and structure are planned together from day one. Your heater's fuel line doesn't conflict with your battery bank. Your solar panel placement accounts for your fan cutout. Your cabinetry is designed around your electrical distribution panel. One team, one plan, zero conflicts.
Warranty Protection
Every component OZK installs carries its manufacturer warranty — and professional installation ensures those warranties stay valid. Improper installation is the number one reason warranty claims get denied. Our installation documentation protects your investment for years.
Single-Point Accountability
When you piece together a build across multiple shops, nobody owns the result. With OZK, one team builds the entire vehicle, one team stands behind the entire vehicle, and one phone call gets you support for anything — from a solar panel question to a suspension concern.
